This home from 1980’s located in Kanata, a suburb of Ottawa, had both interior and exterior spaces completely redone in a modern style. The kitchen was done in high lacquered kitchen cabinets with quartz countertops. The kitchen was also opened to the family room and the fireplace was faced with textured panels. Neglected for 25 years, this split level bungalow in an old neighbourhood of West-Ottawa was in need of entire house remodelling. The ground floor was opened up to create a bright and spacious living room, dining room and kitchen space complete with multi-functional island. Several bathrooms were re-done on the second floor of the home with luxurious elements. The master bedroom was also enlarged for extra space and built in closets were added. Throughout the home extra lighting was added the owners eclectic art pieces highlighted.

A 100 year home in the Little Italy area of Ottawa needed some major changes to update its interior. The attic was stripped down and reinsulated to a spacious master bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a large shower. A custom glass piece was added to separate the bathroom from the bedroom. Extra lighting and clean finishes throughout the space allowed for a very contemporary feel for the homeowners.

This 30 year old house located on the hills of Katimavik, in west Ottawa, was given an updated and open feel by removing two walls on the ground floor. Opening up the dining room, family room and kitchen allowed a more functional kitchen and created space for a large 7’ wide island. A tin ceiling was used for the backsplash and on the dining room ceiling for touches of modern country feel.

Major interior structural changes with the house redesign created an open concept space for living, dining and entertaining. A gas fireplace and built-in entertainment unit were added where an old stone fireplace originally sat.

This angular shaped condo was built in 1980’s near the Ottawa airport. Due to multiple angles, the kitchen had a crowded and cramped feel. To give the owners the kitchen they needed, the wall between the kitchen and the dining room was moved two feet into the dining room space. This allowed the kitchen to have ample space and the addition of an island. The home was done in an eclectic style to reflect owners’ collection of art and accessories.

The owner of this penthouse condo near Dow’s Lake inherited the space and wanted to modernize it to suit his needs. The kitchen was opened up and a peninsula was added for eating the meals and enjoying the outside view. One bedroom was converted to a study and another was finished to add guest bedroom. The large outdoor balcony was finished with wood composite squares for flooring and an awning was added to protect the sun.

This South Keys home was given a modern update in two phases of renovations. The original 1980s kitchen was redesigned with high lacquered doors, and under cabinet lighting and cable-wire lighting were added. The floors were done in grey and white stripes throughout the living room, dining room and hallway. A beautiful custom sandblasted door was added between the kitchen and dining room for a unique touch.

The space was gutted and redesigned to create a functional and contemporary house. Built in closets were added throughout to add ample storage space. Bright lighting, and warm flooring and paint were added to create brightness and warmth.

This owner-built house west of Ottawa, in Almonte, sits on the top of a hill with spectacular views. Two octagonal rooms in the house give a view from every corner of the house. The interior of the house needed to match the beautiful surroundings so the kitchen, living room, study and the bathroom were redesigned in French-country style. An infill home located near the Ottawa Civic Hospital was given a minimal modern feel in and out at the building stages of this home. High lacquered cabinets and a blacksplash in lime green gave contrast to the otherwise the neutral colour scheme. The owner, an artist by profession, required large spans of bare walls with neutral paint to display canvases of art. Modern minimal pieces of furnishings also gave this 16’ wide home a spacious feel.

A grand vaulted ceiling in the center of the home was finished in pine wood planks. The homeowner of this condo in South Ottawa wanted some country style luxury in her space. The master bedroom, ensuite and the walk in closet were redone to reflect the style of the homeowner. In the en-suite bathroom, a beautiful 5 feet shower was added along with a white vanity and a nook for a radio. Lighting was also updated to give the space a warm cozy atmosphere.

This split storey home, located near the Ottawa Riverside Hospital, had its bathrooms, kitchen, and living room redone while keeping some of the original pine wood and stone elements of the home. Modern kitchen cabinetry was added with a high gloss lacquered finish to juxtapose the rustic pine ceiling and the stone fireplace. A light valance was added over the cabinetry to brighten up the kitchen and add extra light over the counters.

The owners of this home, a young couple who moved into their parents’ home in Nepean, wanted to redo the exterior of their home to reflect their modern taste. A design was created for the façade of the home using Hardy boards, Galvalume and marine grade plywood. The entrance door was created as a focal point of the home and enhanced by a stainless steel canopy.

In the front entrance, a wall was moved back into the study to provide a front closet. Another wall between the living and dining room was removed to connect the spaces and allow for the client’s 8 feet long dining table.
